For those of you who aren't familiar with "The Fiddler on the Roof", the title of my post is one of the songs from the movie. A must see! The Match Maker was the village widow who had the "gift" of match making. The village relied on her to tell them who would marry whom.
Anyway, we had the honor of attending the wedding of this beautiful couple (see picture below) last weekend. It was a wonderful wedding with the ceremony truly being centered in Christ. He alone is The True Match Maker.
At the reception, I was most touched by the offering of thanks given by the bride to her parents and aunt who really helped pull it all together. There is no doubt that the mother-of-the-bride and her sisters have a tremendous gift of "doing weddings". Everything from the planning and organizing right down to the cake and homemade mints! Yum-O! Well, I can't leave out the pure sweetness of a weeping little girl dancing with her daddy. Thanks for making me cry! :)
So, I ask that you would all join me in lifting up this couple in prayer. Pray that they will submit their lives to the Lord Jesus Christ on a continual basis, that they would rely upon Him for their strength and guidance, and always seeking to esteem the other higher than themselves.
To Sheila and Logan, may God bless you in your marriage and may you see your need for Jesus in every moment.

Love,
